On Wednesday, May 27th, we officially hit the pavement to put Mike Collier on the ballot as an Independent for Lieutenant Governor. To hit our 10,000-signature goal, we need every hand on deck for a massive Day 1 "Blitz."
Our Volunteer Captain, Jeff Radke, will kick things off by outfitting our teams with clipboards and official forms. Whether you can join us for the morning surge, the afternoon blanket, or the evening bridge shift, your presence is vital to our success.
Starting Location: Barton Springs (Back Entrance/Gate)
The Mission: Blanket Austin’s most iconic foot-traffic spots with our message of independent leadership.
The Launch Day Agenda:
🌅 THE MORNING SURGE (8:30 AM – 12:00 PM) We start as one "regime" at Barton Springs (Back Entrance) before splitting into specialized strike teams to cover:
- Barton Springs Pool / Zilker Trails
- Central Library / Seaholm / Pfluger Bridge
- YMCA Townlake
- Palmer Center & Austin Children’s Shelter area
🍔 THE LUNCH HANG (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM) Meet the team at Terry Black’s BBQ for a quick mid-day fuel-up and strategy session.
☀️ THE AFTERNOON BLANKET (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM) We move in force to the South Congress corridor:
- S. Congress & Jo’s Coffee (The "I Love You So Much" Wall)
- Congress Ave Bridge & The YETI Flagship
- The Fairgrounds on Congress
🦇 THE EVENING BRIDGE (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM) We capture the sunset crowds and the bat-watchers:
- Congress Bridge (North & South sides)
- The LINE Hotel / Butler Running Trail
- Long Center & 1st Street Bridge

Wear comfortable shoes and your favorite FWD gear (if you have it).

Bring water and sunscreen. It’s June in Texas—stay hydrated!
