We are proud to partner with the League of Independent Voters to ensure the coalition of Independent candidates has the best possible strategy to secure their spot on the ballot. Whether you are an Independent candidate, a campaign leader, or a local organizer ready to mobilize your community, this is where we coordinate the events and actions across the state as we lay out the calendar for the Independent Thinkers Tour.
Meeting Objectives:
- Vetting Events: Bounce event ideas and locations off the group to pressure check the spots that provide high-velocity signatures vs. which are a waste of time.
- Coordinating Local Efforts: Align local organizers and campaign leaders to maximize volunteer impact and ensure coordinate efforts.
- Verify the Plan: Reviewing the weekly Independent Thinkers Tour calendar to ensure we maximize our reach before the June 25th deadline.
Agenda (8:00 PM – 8:30 PM):
- 00-05 | The Countdown: A strategic review of proposed dates and events by week in the critical lead-up to the June 25th deadline.
- 05-15 | The Week Ahead: Detailed vetting of upcoming street corners, courthouses, and community festivals. Where is the traffic? Where is the "heart and muscle" needed?
- 15-25 | Logistics: Coordinating campaign leaders and volunteer teams to high-priority districts and petition events.
- 25-30 | Final Scrutiny: Final strategy "pokes" and expert advice from the team.
Note: Following this 30-minute planning session, attendees are welcome to stay on the line for the full LIVTx weekly meeting to discuss citizen lobbying and other critical local policy issues that LIVTx is focused on.
